Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'm a new member here. Your help would be appreciated. I need to clear all configuration on my newly purchased Cisco 1900 Switch, where can I post this to receive replies?
Also, in your settings, you'll want to set up your thread subscriptions. I do 'no email notification', so the threads that I post in, that other people post to, will show up in the user control panel. I'd get too many emails with email notification.
That way, you can keep track of the threads you post in, just by using the link 'User CP'.
I don't know much about 1900 switches, i've mostly played with 2900 switches. Is your switch command line or menu drivin? 1900 switches with the enterprise IOS can use a command line while the ones that do not have the enterprise IOS cannot be edited with the command line, they're menu drivin instead.
If indeed you have the enterprise IOS, use these commands;
switch>enable
switch# erase startup-config
switch# reload
What these commands do is
1) puts the switch into privleged mode
2) erases the startup configuration
3) reboots the switch
This should work, I dont have any experience with 1900s. If you run into any dead ends, or passwords to get around; google is your best friend.
