Edit: Seems to good to be true, the order page isn't even secure. Anyone have any experience with this site?

No, I planned on buying Office XP Pro for $100....do you think there's any reason to question the validity of the site?

I would not order software from anybody but a retailer, just because the authenticity is not verifiable. As a general rule, stay away from anything.anothername.somethingotherthancom

lol, I ALWAYS question the validity of a site I've never seen or heard about.

I like to know who I'm giving my money to.

And how they sell OEM Software without hardware accompanying it. I haven't read their terms though. XP Pro for $80 is nice.

All OEM software sites are a rip-off, don't give them your credit card numbers!

Applejuice, I've deleted the link because this is a scam. The software is pirated.

The domain is registered to someone in India, the site's on a server in China and they say the software is shipped from Europe. This is typical of pirates trying to operate where copyright laws are virtually unenforceable and prosecution is virtually impossible.

I also know for a fact that Adobe doesn't allow any of their software to be sold as OEM.

All such "cheap" and OEM software sites are scams. Nearly all are run from overseas, most from Russia. Sometimes you'll actually get a CD-ROM copy, but often they take your money and run. In either case, it's just as illegal as if you downloaded from a warez site or P2P.

And like Lethal said, Adobe does NOT product OEM versions of anything other than Photoshop Elements, the crippled version you get with scanners and some digital cameras.

Yer kidding, right....

I guess I should post the Ad0be Ph0t0sh0p for $80 emails I get.

Seriously...
The domain is a foreign registry, has the smell of scam all over it.

Good point, I hadn't even thought of PS Elements as being OEM. :) In fact, I bought a new Wacom tablet recently and Elements came with it on a "software bundle" disk with Painter Classic and other stuff. No manuals, just a sticker on the generic sleeve with the serial numbers. Kind of a waste, IMO, as anyone who's going to spend over $250 on a graphics tablet likely already has a better graphics program. Makes more sense with scanners and digicams, though.

Years ago I bought a Umax scanner that came with a full retail version of Photoshop 3 (yes, that long ago!) - box, manuals and everything. Of course, back then the scanner alone cost $700 or $800. :p Right after that they went to bundling PS "Limited Edition" instead of full. As the price of scanners came down, so did the value of the software they include.

I saw a (presumably legit) site recently selling OEM Windows licenses (not the software itself) in bulk, then in "the fine print" it said you had to buy hardware with it to qualify for OEM, so they recommended a $1 cable, lol. :D
