I thought i'd mess around with booting osx off of my ipod for fun but ran into a snag. I wiped the ipod and used disk utility to copy an image of my tiger dvd to said ipod. When i go to reboot the computer and boot to firewire by holding down t i get a firewire logo that bounces around the screen like a screensaver. Am i doing something stupidly wrong? :)

holding down t puts your comp into target disk mode (makes your machine into a giant external harddrive/cd encolsure). just select your ipod from the startup disk control panel

tried that, still a no go, doesn't appear to do much. i think it gives up after a few minutes and boots to the normal drive. any other ideas?
