Blank emails?

Anyone ever gotten a blank email? I get several (gotten like 4 so far)

They have no subject, no sender, and no body. It's really bizarre. This is on a yahoo email address, think maybe it's screwing up? Any ideas on this weirdness?
 
My guess would be that is a failed attempt to propogate by a virus.

We starting seeing hundreds of messages fitting that descrition being received by our mail server when MyDoom hit.
 
it could be html mail that has hidden files (viruses) that its trying to load
 
Yah... I'd put my money on virus too. I vaguely remember this starting years ago during one of the big email viruses, they upgraded their filtering or something of the sort. Yahoo are good in the way I suppose.
 
It's probably not a virus as I get them too once in a while. I've received it in Mozilla and my ISP's webmail, and on my Windows and Linux machines so at least mine isn't a virus. It's totally blank, no header, no message, I've saved the messages as text but theres nothing there, and the date on it is always December 31st, 1969. I'm thinking someone found some kind of flaw in the smtp/pop3 protocols and figured out a way to send totally blank emails. I've searched google for this before and have seen people report it but no conclusion on what it is or where it comes from.
 
I'm going to stick with my original statement and say it was a virus. I watch hundreds of the get filtered by my mail server every day, many with those same characteristics.

I believe it to be one of the following scenarios:

Virii are not perfect beasts, and I think that in this attempt to propogate itself, it couldn't correctly complete the attachment process, thus showing up blank.

Or, said message passed through a mail server with filtering software which detected and removed the virus, but passed the remainder of the message on to you.
