The X800 cards are not 9.0C compiant. I had to swallow the same pill with Rainbow 6 Vegas.

It sucks, my X800XT AIW was a beast and would peform along the likes of the X1800 with the overclock I had on it.

Seems you need more memory :D .
Seriously though, run the latest DX web update. It seems to be the most common problem.
Other then that google it - the 2K games tech support is pretty useless.
 
I have the rig in my signature. Everything is fine EXCEPT the video card. I can only play at 800x600 with medium settings at the moment. Frame rates occasionally drop into the teens with alot going on, but overall it stays about 30fps. I have played several hours with zero problems at all. I am sorry that some people are missing out on this great game. It is alot like System SHock 2 if you have ever played that.
 
OK, I was getting crap performance outside of the first time I played the game. Skips, FPS into the toilet and several harlocks.

Then the clouds parted....and I found a guy with similar problems on the 2K forums. I installed the latest OpenAL dlls. Wow, just wow, smooth as silk again!

Not to mention the draconian DRM that comes with it. Anyways, a SM3.0 compliant card is required.

um, 6600 or 1300 or better... that's SM3.
