Quotage from EA Staff: "We got some news yesterday that the release for the Euro Forces booster has been pushed back. We're still waiting on confirmation of when it is now due, but for now we have nothing further."

The patch is NOT delayed...

Further in the thread: "We've not given a date for the patch previously, and as far as our information goes at the moment everything is on schedule, rather than there being any major hold-up. We'll update the patch news sticky as soon as we have anything further."

Drama, drama, drama...

UPDATE
Booster packs now coming out 2/16/06

hmm I am a bit surprised. I mean EA loves to push everything out the door rather quickly instead of olding things back. I could care less, though. Good news is the patch isn't delayed. Can't wait to see bunny hoppers jumping and not be able to fire their weapon, oooh I'll ba laughing, laughing hard.

There are two possible explanations for this move: either EA decided to do the right thing and not release a bug-ridden system-killing POS; or they found a super-secret way to bilk us all for more money, and they're trying to get it into the booster pack.

My guess: the super-secret way to get more money is a trojan on the game disc that steals the passwords for your online banking, and just raids your accounts. Now they won't even have to wait for you to go to gamestop to give them your money!!!!!!!

<and PNut scurries away to cancel all online banking accounts>

I know you guys are dissapointed w/ the delay but nothing makes you happy. If they release it right now and there's a few bugs in it you'll be upset about that (understandably)

When something gets delayed though we all cry about that as well. We could be a little more patient.

There's always a reason for a delay. I promise you they do not have meetings to sit and discuss what they can do to anger their customers and make them more upset w/ the company.

All sorts of things make me happy. BF2 makes me happy, after 3 patches at least.

I don't mind a delay, as long as it's to improve the game before release. If you couldn't tell, my last post had some sarcasm in it.

And I'm also sure they don't have meetings discussing ways to make people more upset with them. They probably realize that most people couldn't get any more upset with them than they already are.

Like any business in corporate america their goal is to make a lot of money. Once they do that they make new goals to make even more money. Part of making money though does include customer satisfaction...I think all companies keep this in their mind. The guy who's scamming you on Ebay? Yeah...he doesn't care...but EA, etc does.

I totally understand what you're saying, and EA also puts out a lot of quality titles (Burnout series, their sports titles--though the VC football games were FAR superior, IMO). As far as the BF series goes, a lot more customer satisfaction from the get go, rather than satisfaction through patches that fix issues a rhesus monkey could've pointed out in a beta test, will go a long way towards satisfying most people.
