Best v7 flags to use for cpu+gpu?

780ti and i7-4771, using the v7 client and getting about 200k PPD when folding on both (most coming from the GPU). Not using any flags right now, are there any that can be recommended to help increase ppd? I notice on my GPU (using precision to see the usage) it's typically around 80-90%, but every couple minutes (sometimes longer) it will dip down to 50-60% for like 15-20 seconds. Any idea why that is? Temps are fine, under 65c.
 
Depend in the assigned WU the core write checkpoints back to disk. If the disk is slow or via NAS that impact the time need to write. Also additional system load or virus scanner are time consumer

Are you running windows or a linux box ?
Also keep in mind that for NV each GPU card need one dedicated core, if you CPU had 8 cores and assigned 8 core to and SMP slot and activate one GPU slot that would cause delay too. In those cases CPU:6 and one GPU is fine (I keep always one core for OS)

Mind sharing your config file ? Or first 10o lines of log ?
 
Only running it on a 840 Pro and it's plenty fast. No AV or other BS that could slow it down. It's on Windows 8.1.

I can share it when I get back home.
 
From the description you must be running a core 17 WU right now, as there's no way you could be getting 200k PPD if the GPU was processing a core 15 WU. The usage drops you're seeing are probably the core doing its checkpointing, and that's normal behavior.

The one flag that would be recommended is adding client-type:beta to the GPU slot, as that almost guarantees that you'll get core 17 WUs; on advanced or no flag, you'll get a mix of core 17 and core 15. The PPD difference between the two is very large- on my non-Ti 780s, core 17 projects net around 180k PPD, while the best-earning core 15 projects only do 60k, and some of them are under 40k.

Keep in mind that using the beta flag without being part of the beta team means you won't get support at the official folding forum until you remove it (not a big issue) and that you may get new beta projects with PPD or stability issues. The two most recent core 17 projects had some temporary point issues, with one not registering the bonus for about a day and the other having to go through several revisions, most of which had a too-low point value. Also, the beta flag is not supposed to be a higher-PPD flag, it just so happens that for the last several months it's been weighted very heavily towards core 17 projects. Core 15 WUs sometimes show up even with the beta flag set, and at any point they could change the weighting and remove the "pretty much nothing but core 17" effect.
 
That being said, it is easy to join the beta team. Unless you are actively monitoring your systems, I'd be inclined to not use the beta flag. That said, I am on the beta team and actively monitor my systems.
