I'm looking to upgrade my current system, used mainly for games and multimedia, my current specs are as follows:

Intel P4 2.8 @ 3.4
Asus P4C800 Deluxe
1024Mb OCZ PC4000
Radeon X800XL AGP @ 430/1100
2x80GB SATA raid 0
2x40GB ATA
Enermax 350W PSU

I have a budget of around £400/$700, with no brand loyalties to Intel or AMD so each is fair game.

The only thing I wont be able to upgrade is the X800XL due to the tight budget, so I will require a system with an AGP slot.

Any suggestions would be well recieved :)

TIA Vindi

updated with more info..

update,

After a bit of looking around i've decided on going AMD, due to cost/performance.

Would the Asus A8V Rev.2 Deluxe VIA K8T800 Pro motherboard be a good buy, its socket 939 and has AGP, but its been out over a year. Any other recomendations?
Also would my OCZ gold PC4000 memory be compatible with this board?

The CPU I was thinking of was maybe an AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Venice, maybe a bit higher if I have a bit spare cash at the end of it..

sell ur video card. get a pci-e

dfi ultra -d + venice 3000-3200 and oc it with ur ram

I say that you should either:

sell the CPU and the video card and
get a 3.4Ghz Prescott and a X850XT AGP

or

sell video card, mobo, and CPU and
get a 3500+, any SLI mobo, and 6800GT
