Best screen protector for evo3d?

What's the best screen protector for an evo3d? This is my first touchscreen phone and everyone is telling me to put a screen protector on it immediately.

Zagg. One of the best screen protector's out there. Not sure if they have a EVO 3D or not. I haven't kept up on their offerings.

Screw Zagg. The protectors are overpriced, have a horrible tactile feel, have a ton of "orange peel" effect in the plastic, and you can do far better for 90% less. The only good thing is that they have a lifetime warranty, but most companies do these days.

I installed a protector from Ebay called "Naked Shield" on my Infuse, cost me $2.50 shipped, feels/protects great, and it's smooth as glass. Has a lifetime warranty too.

Depends if you want a soft or hard screen protector.

Hard, like martin fields, steinheil, and reallook, feel and look like you don't have a screen protector at all and tend to be cut very precisely to fit your screen. However they're expensive and can be scuffed, and many are not too great with being reapplied.

Soft, like Zagg, xtremeGuard, naked shield, etc, aren't quite as clear as hard protectors (regardless of what proponents say; they may not mind or notice it, but by nature soft ones do change visibility more than hard protectors in pretty much every case, however slight) and significantly change the feel of the screen, however they tend to be far more durable and resilient (scuffs tend to "heal" after a while) and are generally far cheaper. Furthermore, some people actually like the different texture provided by soft protectors. Their application to the phone itself tends to be a bit trickier however it's much easier to adjust and reapply.

There's no such thing as a perfect screen protector. Every single brand has its ups and downs, and there is actually significant difference between a lot of them.

i would say steinheil but its not even made for the 3d just yet. Last year, i had it for my evo4g, and it was so clear and thin that everyone thought i didnt have a screen protector on my phone. When steinheil makes or announces one for the 3d, i am buying it. Also, its cheaper than walking into bestbuy and buying anything in the store. I paid $18, including shipping, on a 2 pack for my phone last year..

I picked up the 3 pack @ the sprint store when i got my phone, $15 for 3 sheilds, 2 clear/regular, and one anti-glare. the sales rep installed one of the reg ones & got dust under it (rendering it useless), so i changed up to the anti-glare.
Works like a charm, good feel, and really helps when using the phone outdoors.

I'm not a big fan of Steinheil as they have edge lifting problems. It varies from cut to cut and surprisingly doesn't get worse over time as one would expect, but the initial edge peel is annoying to me, which is unfortunate because Steinheil is amazing otherwise. It's probably the toughest non-soft protector out there, and doesn't attract finger oil nearly as much as probably any other protector brand I've used.

i agree with you there. Though i never noticed it because i had a body glove case on the phone, so the edge peel was non existent because the case covered that flaw. But beside that, the protector was perfect.

me and the wife got new phones, she got the nexus s and i got the 3vo. I got here a steinheil antifingerprint one and it works great, planning to get one for my phone as soon as they put it on the market.

Kinda pricey, hers was like 15 for two protectors, a cloth, and an applicator. The screen is not as sharp but the antifingerprint part works great. Its so annoying on my phone, cant wait to get mine...

Hmm...I prefer my phones without the screen protectors.

99% of you can either feel them or see them in one way or the other...

Also why I don't have cases on any of my phones. I love the designs usually too much! :p

Yeah, I really like my phone without anything, and was planning on just being careful with it. It's kind of like getting a nice car then covering it up with a whole bunch of protective ugly crap. Kind of defeats the purpose.

But then I got a scratch on it, and then I was sadface. Luckily the scratch was over one of the capacitive buttons and not the screen itself, however it was still annoying simply knowing it was there. (And yes, my phone is made with gorilla glass, so no, they are not indestructible.)

Perhaps when I get to the point where I replace my phones every year or six months, I'll forego the protection.

The one that came with my Otterbox is nice.

I do however have a pack of cheapy backups from Amazon. I think I paid 90 cents for a pack of 3.

I'm debating whether or not to get a screen protector for my new 3d. I had a Zagg on my Hero and I'm pretty sure it saved the screen from some damage, but I don't care for the feel of it. I really like how it feels without the protector on it.
I have CG's for BB so I'll probably end up getting a Zagg protector for it for now until others come out.
