Around September of last year I upgraded my gaming box with some of the latest goodies: DDR2 RAM, Core2Duo processor, nice Mobo. For one reason or another I decided to wait on upgrading the video card. Lucky that I did, too, because not three months later I was summarily shipped off to Afghanistan to spend the year here. I've decided that when I get back in early February that I want to give the rig a much-deserved video upgrade. The computer junkie in me wanted to wipe the whole thing and start over, but the rational side of me realized that would be pretty stupid considering I need the money to invest in my business ventures. So, I am asking:
Based on current and future (next two months) projections on video cards, which card(s) would you recommend that don't "overdo" it for the following setup while giving me the best performance increase for the video card bottleneck?
Thanks again all!
Edit: Normally I would just do some quick research, but I must admit that over the past year I haven't exactly had the time nor ability to keep up with advances in computers. Other than the fact that RAM seems to be nearly free these days, I know little to nothing about the video card market. At all.

- GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3 LGA 775 Intel P965 Express ATX
- Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz LGA 775 Processor
- G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
- WD 7500rpm (this needs a boost too me thinks)
Thanks again all!
