backup without changing file attributes

Hi everyone,

I am trying to perform backup of a specific directory without modifying any file attributes because the host application does not like that. It refuses to use the database if I perform scheduled backup with windows backup utility to a NAS device. Does such software exist? None of them seam to list it as a "feature".

If you choose to do a full backup, rather than incremental, does it still use Archive?
