so I work at a retail store and we sell both Nvidia/ ATI cards and so far we've had a few ATI cards just not post in machines. Being either custom machines or Dells, HP's whatever. Put in an Nvidia card and they post just fine
So far it has only been the 4000 and 5000 series, never a high end GPU, but usually around the 200 dollar parts of both series.
Just curious if anyone else is having these issues or if Kyle knows anything about it or could talk to AMD.
Also we have PC parts here so we always try a new PSU in all the machines and still no go, and again the PC won't POST! So it's not a driver issue or anything, its in the hardware, and then we put in just a random Nvidia card in and it works just fine.
This is just pissing me off mostly because I like ATI, but my manager hates them a lot and now he's starting to prove me wrong. He hates them because we have a game center (about 30 PC's hooked up) and he used to do ATI in the past and had nothing but issues, switched over to Nvidia years ago and had minimal to no issues ever since. Ever since the ATI 4k series came out I convinced him to carry ATI and now we're having issues.
Any suggestions/ideas would help thanks. Also for the cards that don't work we try them in another machine and they will work just fine in some machines (most, but some boards for whatever reason hate them)and sometimes we just RMA the card, so any ideas? Because it's starting to become a hassle
