Ok, I am getting the following problem and I'm stuck on what to do next..
Dell Poweredge 1400
NT Server 4.0
2x 9GB SCSI HDD's on an Adaptec 7899 (On-board)
2x 60Gb IDE HDD's in RAID 1 on a Promise TX2000 Controller.
IDE CD-ROM
At the moment, the machine bluescreens every 48 hours or so with no pattern to it. I've looked at the stack trace and it's all STOP 50, 1e, 0a, 24, 7f. Pointing to a driver or hardware issue. Examining the memory.dmp shows that atapi.sys is causing the BSOD.
I've reinstalled SP6a and subsequent hotfixes, as well as the latest drivers for the Adaptec and Promise. But this still seems to happen. I know the next step is to start pulling cards out and seeing if that helps, but this is our main server and I know how fickle NT4 is.
Any thoughts/comments/suggestions welcome.
