I just got my Asus Commando with a E6600, 4 gig of G.Skill DDR2800 and Ati HD2900XT to upgrade my current system.

So I assemble the new setup and everything is working great. Speedy and fast. I clean up my cluster around my desk and push the tower back into it's spot with all my USB cables hooked up. I hit the power and walk out with out paying any attention to computer coming up. I come back in and put in my password. But the computer is running like crap, like a old 200 Mhz pentium. So I'm thinking the auto overclock has jacked something up.

I shut down and try to get into the bios to fix things but the computer would not post at all. I try to clear the CMOS but I'm having zero luck. All reboots are met with a blank screen. I'm thinking the memory might of busted with the auto overclock. I started to pull the computer out from under the desk and read the LCD poster and it reads USBF INAL. All my USB stuff is proven I've been using it for months with no problem. So I don't have a clue what that really means so I hit google. A few French people posted this but Google translates sloppy French pretty sloppy. So I am on my own.

I started musical memory but no configuration was working. Reseated the CPU and verified good heat sink contact. Reseated video card, all hard drives and power cables. Nothing was working! I then start to pull the computer out completely and it dawns on me USBF INAL... maybe something USB bus is causing this problem but that's a weird problem. I disconnected everything USB and start the computer one final time. BINGO! Something USB was preventing a boot. One by one I started reconnecting USB stuff and rebooting.

2 external drives - good
usb memory stick - good
mouse-good
webcam -good
USB hub in my monitor - BAD

USB hub was the problem area so I started to disconnect stuff there. The empty hub booted fine but not when I had my Zune connected to it.

The Zune connected with my Dell 1901FP hub was preventing my computer from posting. Why that would happen is beyond me. The monitor hub has it's own power and the Zune, well, who the hell knows about that. I connected my Zune direct to the computer and it boots fine. I just can't use the Zune on my monitors hub.

Anyways if anyone comes across a non-posting Asus Commando with the LCD Poster reading USBF INAL yank everything USB and find the problem device.
