amped 2 problem

i recently bought amped 2 for Xbox and after working for a few days it now freezes everytime the song changes, somtimes for up to 10 seconds. i already tried cleaning the disk, and there are no scratches. anyone know what the problem could be, or do i just try and return it?
 
ive had games do this to me before... amped 1 actually did this to me also! i got real annoyed so i searched for a solution on the xbox.com forums..... What I found surprised me and you may think it is strange, but boil some hot water in a pot. Get some tongs or something and hold the edge of the Xbox disc and place it in the water for 10 seconds. Don't let the game hit the edges of the pot or the bottom. Just hold it with the tongs floating in the water for 10 seconds. Take it out and set it on a dry towel or something and let it airdry. I did that and my disc worked without a skip or hiccup. I was surprised. If you don't believe me, then don't do it... But I promise you I have done it. At first I didn't believe it works, but then I tried it on one of my Xbox demo discs, and it worked...
