I'm getting conflicting information, so I'm here to ask the resident experts. If a CPU fan dies on an A64, does it throttle down, turn itself off, or what?
A related question is: Let's say I don't use the stock CPU fan in favor of an XP-120 with a Panaflo that does not support RPM monitoring, and the fan dies. What happens?
Does the motherboard monitor the RPMs of the fan and, in the case of death, shut the system down? Or is it handled at the processor level? Thanks
