Is it just me or its weird to get 3dmark03 benchmark score in the 4500's or so for this setup:

amd 64 3000+
asus KV8
1gig corsair xms pc3200
9800pro
120gig maxtor sata 8mb 7200rmp
420w psu
DVD burner

is it possible that heat could bring the performance down? it runs around 45c full load... i am also using omega driver... but i dont think it should lag it like that... also... the CPU test for 3dmark03 is lower than a p4 2.4C the cpu score was like 251 or something... something is WRONG! please help!! i thought my setup would give me at around 6000... anyone have suggestion or tips?

What are the settings on your ATI card? You should use "custom" settings and set everything to "application preference" and then set the other settings to "performance" instead of "quality". Do you have other applications running? NAV or such? Is your RAM running at it's rated speed? Your temps are fine.

yea all my video card setting is set to performance... the thing is that how could my cpu score around 251? =T

AA and AF set to "application preference"?

I see you are OC'd, what freq is your RAM running at?

How is your performance inside Games?

Have you installed the VIA Hyperion 4in1 AGP controller drivers before you installed Catalyst?

Looks like your comp is pretty close to mine. Haven't ran a full swing of 3DMark2003 yet, but I scored 21k on 3DMark2001 with the setup in my sig.

Huh, he has a radeon 9800pro and the 512kb of cache has a minimal effect of performance. Read the post before you look dumb.
