I bought a PowerColor Hellhound Spectral White AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT 16GB GDDR6 from amazon on May 22nd delivered on May 23rd for $729 USD.
After much deliberation and systemmatic debugging, I determined the card is defective. (unstable after 5 minutes of load).
Started amazon return today May 27th. Only option is refund. The card is now $829.

These prices and practices are going to kill gaming. Just wanted to vent.

There are plenty of used cards out there. Folks will buy those before they quit gaming for the most part. Once folks start hanging on to their old stuff then things may get dicey.

Contact PowerColor and see if they'll honor the warranty with a replacement.

Amazon sold you a $729 item. They refunded you $729. What is the problem?
 
Usually they would exchange like for like. 4 days difference I guess is too much. It's not like I bought something and waited 30+ days. Not complaining about the refund, yet.
But the price changed they aren't legally required to give you the difference. While it sucks it is what it is.

i get it with their user unfriendly dynamic pricing algo. and to be clear, it did have this language when i bought it:

which would also form a material part of the bargain. if they only want to do refunds, then just say "FREE 30-day refund."

Until then... its the normal..

SOOOOO many people just blindly buy off of Amazon... endless garbage crap shilled on Amazon... Amazon has a cult following...
