I really loved this game for my GBA, what games for the pc are most like it? AW was a little short IMHO, but still hella fun. If anyone knows a game like it that would be great.

Try Massive Assault, if that doesnt do it for you search gamespot or something for turnbased RTS games

i thought you were talking about a comparable pc title

of course Advance Wars 2 is a given.

Final Fantasy Tactics might be up your alley too.

dont forget Dawn of War either, though it isnt turn based it does rule ass

There was an old game called Mechanized Assault and Exploration (MAX) that was a fairly good turn based stratagy game. Too bad the sequal wasn't on par with the origional.

There are also some other good turn based games to look at, like the Heroes of Might and Magic Series, Master of Orion II and of course the X-COM's

Alot of these are old DOS games, so you might haft to use a DOS legacy emulator, like DOSBox to get them to work under windows.

I was a big fan of Advance Wars and someone told me to try Fire Emblem.... I'm loving this game so far.. the story line is pretty decent, but the gameplay is just awesome. It's like a cross between Advance Wars and Final Fantasy Tactics. Good stuff.

Thanks guys. Im downloading the massive assault demo. I would try Advance wars 2, but my GBA screen is so scratched up I can't stand it. I guess I should look into a sp. I will look into those other titles as well.

You can order replacement screens from Nintendo for a couple bucks, and keep better care of that screen.

By all accounts, it's not. They seem to have tried to convert it to realtime and so far they've done a poor job of it. At least that's what I heard from E3. I guess it could be a completely different story by now.
