Hey guys,

The Laptop in question is pretty much boned I think. Theres graphical corruption in the BIOS screens, and Windows is exactly the same. I've narrowed it down to the Graphics Card (It's exactly the same problems on a seperate monitor).

Is there any way I can replace the card at all? It's a Geforce 7600Go I believe.

Probably not, even if it is an MXM module, it will still require soldering and some electrical work. I'd RMA it if it was still under warranty.

most MXM modules i've seen simply go into a slot face down against the heatsink/fan unit............. I think they're screwed down to provide tension as well........... I don't believe there is any soldering involved, as the built-in circuitry in the slot automatically routes the signal to the external connectors and the LCD connector................ I don't believe DELL uses standard MXM modules though........... maybe you could order an 8600 module from them, but i'd make sure and find out if it works first..........
