970 overclock

I recently put an evga 970 acs in my system. I'm running gpu @ 1500 MHz and mem @ 1800 mhz. Is that a pretty good over clock for these cards ? Are the 970 owners getting around that, I can push mine some more, but it's a nice round number that is rock stable for me.
I'm now running a 4k 24" LCD now and it's a lot of fun to play games on it. Dying light, metro games, AC series, etc.
what are people's thoughts? It's been a while since I worked on this stuff

Yea that's about average. Try adding +400-500 to memory. I run my 970sli at 1500mhz core/4001mhz mem
 
On my STRIX I can go 1950 (7800 effective) on the memory, but can't crack 1500 on the core. 1 MHz higher on the memory and I will start to get artifacting in games.

Around 1.5 GHz on the core is typical, but successful memory overclocks seem to be all over the place.

yep that's right on par with everyone else. mine is clocked at 1500 core 1850 mem (7400 effective) and rock solid stable.
 
1500-1542 core depending on mood with no voltage increase 2000 on the samsung memory. custom bios I could get 1585 stable on the core but really not worth the effort or voltage. Awesome clocking cards
 
Mine's about 1550 MHz core. 1500 MHz is common because many people are able to achieve it, but it is actually a very good overclock. You don't see such increment with previous GPUs.
 
Seems like Gigabyte G1 cards are the most consistent that I have read across forums in terms of their overclocking potential. Next is MSI Gaming cards. Anything other than these two brands is a hit or miss. I have seen people not able to hit even 1450 on some EVGA and ASUS cards. :rolleyes:
