2950x upgrade?

Current System:

i7-6700k - 1080 ti -16gb ram

I have a second PC I use for streaming/recording (Ryzen 1700X, 980TI, Elgato 4k capture card).

Is it worth selling these two and getting a 2950x and just having 1 PC for everything? I would reuse my 1080TI (or upgrade to 2080TI later this year).
 
It would work, just set the processes affinity to lock your games to a single die.
