2005fpw Usage time

I just learned you can check how long your monitor has been used through a service menu on the 2005fpw.

I was wondering, on my "Elapsed Time" in the service menu it says 36 next to it. Is that a measure of how many days it's been on? Certainly it's not hours since I've had the monitor for about a year+.

i cannot tell you how they measure, but mine says '21' and i´ve had mine for (i think) 14 months.

I have 2 at work and would like to see what they say as they stay on a lot. I get to the service menu but where is this time?

when you`re in the service menu (hold 'menu' + '+' when powering up)

you the have to go to: factory reset and then factory

2005 #1 has 31
2005 #2 has 32

Guess they have been used pretty much the same.

I never checked my Dell when I had one but I did read in this forum once that the time displayed for monitor usage didn't simply mean the time it was actually turned-on but the total time it was hooked-up to a computer. According to that meausre a monitor hooked up for one day but used for one hour would show 24 hours and not 1. I just use "hours" as an example. I don't know if this is all true but I did read it here once.

How do u get to service menu?
Not the same as main menu right?
any other little tricks???

As I remember, you turn off monitor and then restart it while simultameously holding down the menu button and the + button
