Forza Horizon 6

I'm starting to get pretty excited. Assuming it has the same amount of content as the last couple FH games, it should keep me occupied for at least a month or two.

I'm a sucker and preordered so I can have the weekend to play it.
 
The game leaked online the moment that the steam preload went live. Playground games uploaded the unencrypted files straight onto steam servers.

I would imagine someone is losing their job tomorrow morning.
 
Looking forward to playing it but not in that condition. Have mine preloaded on Gamepass and will just try to avoid spoilers and be patient!
 
So been playing it for a few hours and i have to say its pretty good. Ive seen alot of people saying that they werent planning on buying it and after playing the leak they are going to buy it for sure and that PG earned the money. Ive also seen alot of people say its the best one since FH3 and i agree. The game feels pretty good and new and refreshing.

Also apparently this leak wasnt due to the encrypted upload and was actually someone who had preliminary access and signed an NDA that leaked the unencrypted files that were cracked and what everyone is playing. The ban. I know the person who was banned. He was definitely banned for making a video and uploading it to his youtube channel and didnt mask his gamertag. It says for cheating but that isnt the case and is a canned reason because they didnt have an option for playing leaked copy and there is alot of misinformation going around that it was for cheating or manipulating the game and its definitely 1000% untrue.

No one thinks it was for cheating. Anyone with an IQ above 60 knows it's because he pirated the game and was too stupid to keep his mouth closed, seems there are quite a few others like him.

I mean if they are stupid enough to flaunt it, they can enjoy the ban. They did get his whole microsoft account tied to that gamertag deleted but he has history with them anyways. Either way it was dumb.

I am but its not because i crave the social part of it as i dont interact with people in the game generally. Its that it doesnt matter. No matter what you try to do or block or think your blocking your not. The game has to check in at least once and even if you block it they will see it through telemetry or their alternate data stream. Im just using an alt xbox account. To bypass a HWID ban on pc is just reinstalling windows. They arent banning people like they say as it would be alot of backlash. It is just a deterrent.

I’ll be getting the normal edition. I didn’t play FH5 much but Japan is a more interesting location for me so I imagine I will enjoy it more.
 
5 was fucking annoying. i think i got 4 hours in and uninstalled it (free w/ game pass). might have to cough up for a game pass to give this a go though.
edit: apparently you cant redeem ms points for pc game pass anymore, bastards.
 
I really want to go in on this but I see they have the Auction House still. Really disliked the whole economy and artificial scarcity of "rare" cars.
 
So after extensive play ill give a short and sweet. Let me start out by saying it is a copy paste job when it comes to the core game and the engine. They made a map, changed it. Then worked out the exterior. However unlike the previous two games. This one they actually worked on quite a bit. Im pretty sure we can all agree FH5 was shit in every sense of the word. This one the gaming experience has been a focus and has been changed... for the better. If you want the grind and dont want cars and money hurled your way. I think buying the base game will get you as close to that as possible. Im on premium so i got some cars early that are very op and its obvious. Gameplay progression has been addressed. Before it became very easy to get lost in the sea of icons on the map very quickly. However they have slowed down on that a little in this one. Also when you start out you race cars tied to a letter class. You start lower then as you move on you move up the chain. So it prevents the op cars from that but you can still use them to blast through danger signs, speed zones and cameras, etc. Sounds have been retooled and reworked. They used FM8 sounds in the menus and stuff like that. I think the car sounds were also used from FM8 and theyu built on that. Alot of sounds are different for the cars. Exhausts and turbos, blowers, blow off valves, transmission whine, and all that are different and for the most part better. This game seems quiet at times compared to the rest but IMO it helps drive the sound immersion. You can hear crickets and bugs and wilderness, you can hear the screech of high performance brakes when you come to a stop, you can hear the tires move on the ground when sitting stationary. As for visuals, the game looks fantastic. The weather is great, the the night time is fantastic. Car paint looks alot better now. It just looks really good. The map is the one thing that i think they could have done a little better on and it would have made a bigger impact. However what is there is done pretty well. Alot of it flows real well for what they have done. Im running it on my sig rig 3440x1440 on the Extreme preset and im getting 60-75 FPS on the game ready driver they released today. Im the last person to give them slack or glaze them for the fuckening that FH4, 5, and FM8 was. Could the game be better? Yes it could for sure. But considering the level of what we have been given from them in the past. I have to give credit where its due.
 
Fuck it, I'm in. I've been wanting another since FH4, it sounds like it's improved over 4 and 5 (never played 5). And I really like the Japan setting.

Also, Steam Deck Verified seems cool.
