Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Don't worry. I've had cheap MB's flex so much while inserting RAM that it wouldn't seat in the middle of the stick... obviously didn't detect the RAM. I had to hold the board from the edge with my finger so it wouldn't flex while inserting the stick lol.
Maybe for some reason a bootloader from one of the other drives is causing an issue?
Have you updated to the latest BIOS?
I got the same MB right now, and I'm running a WD 60gb laptop HD but that'll change because I think the HD is bad (extremely laggy even trying to scroll through the start...
I pre-ordered the AN8-Ultra from PCCanada on tuesday, hopefully it arrives soon!
tigerdirect.ca has the AN8-SLI Premium: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1433886&CatId=0
6.3v is fine for a 5v circuit. When's the last time your 5v rail hit 6.3v?
The problem was that it was a crappy capacitor that was bound to bubble, just like the ones in tons of motherboards.
I don't know, but I wuoldn't be surprised if they release one.
The only reason for the heatpipes is to eliminate the noisy NF4 chipset's fan. By using heatpipes to move the heatsink to a more convenient spot, a much bigger heatsink can be used to cool the shipset.
Note that you'd have to...
If SATA-II supports NCQ, then, IMO, it's definetely worth getting or paying the difference for.
As for the hardware firewall, I really don't care lol.
Thanks :D
