Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
What I would personally like is a black box digital video recorder (DVR) that does VGA resolution. No LCD display. Heck, not even a video output. Just an input for the video source and an SD or CF slot for the recording media.
Key features:
-approximately ipod size
-flash media storage...
Yeah, I figured it'd be prohibitive too. However, I did look at the HP partsurfer website and HP lists the WSXGA+ panel at a curiously low $113.00. So that changed the equation a bit.
I guess I should have mentioned that. The HP nc8230 that I'm asking about is indeed offered from HP with the WSXGA+ screen, with the same video chip even. The vendor I mentioned is a discount retailer.
Thus, this is exactly the same situation as the Dell upgrade only it's not Dell. As far as...
I am considering an HP nc8230 notebook, but the vendor only offers the WXGA LCD instead of the WSXGA+ LCD that I want.
Is this something I can simply swap myself? Are there likely to be any differences in mounting, connections, bios, or drivers? I've seen a thread where someone swapped an...
Cameras don't pull steady current so it's hard to reliably calculate how long it will last in terms of time. Instead you could count how many photos it is able to take at a given setting before the battery died, among other measurements.
The device is just a 4" lcd and a receiver for a cheap wireless video camera.
I don't really have a good reason for compactness other than maybe then I'd use it more. I was thinking using 9v because I'd only need 2 batteries, and secondly they can be bought anywhere. I've found that in the...
I'd like to power a 12v portable device using common batteries in a small package. The device only draws 500ma at most. I'm thinking 9v cells would be good enough for an hour or two.
I figure two things I could do:
-Put two 9v cells in series and use a 12v voltage regulator.
-Put one 9v...
Absolutely awesome job!
re: the old Virtual Worlds, those places were high-class for their time. The latest iteration of VW's Battletech is subtitled "Firestorm" and can be played at these Dave & Buster's locations:

There's merchandise on that...
