    i need some quick help

It's hard to pick up on all the knowledge that you need to build a pc overnight. I know, because I basically tried to do exactly that about a year ago. A good place to start is to read in the Overclocking section of the forums and read people's sigs to see what cpu, mobo, etc they have. I know...

2 ?'s, which 92mm fan and which thermal paste to use?

After doing some research on this topic a while ago for my latest build, I came to the conclusion that AS5 is the best for temperature. Although I have not worked with ceramique, my roommate used it on his build and liked it a lot. It also has been said to be easier to work with than AS5...but I...

    A64 OC Data

I need a new computer for college. Yay.

If you are really planning on keeping this thing more than 2 years, which seems rather unlikely to me unless you are really willing to drop some dough, then what you should really be considering is what operating system will be out. Chances are 64 bit OSs will hit in 2 years max. So you should...

The impossible computer problem - Don't believe me? Read this...

Long shot here: Do you have a floppy on it? Because I pulled a lot of hair out due to a bad floppy a while back.

Which upgrade path would you choose?

When in doubt, save your money. I made the mistake of upgrading mobo, ram, and case on my p4 2.0 a while back...ended up giving it to parents in exchange for half the money for a new comp only 7 months later. Now my parents use my former computer that I put tons of time into building and oc'ing...
