BFG Offers FREE Upgrade To PCI Express
Got my 9800gtoc day after xmas. New retail box, and it runs great. System is now getting about 10k in 3kmark 06 and 15k in 3dmark05. Not sure how good this is, but it is better than the previous card(x1950gt), which got about 10k in 3dmark05(never ran 3dmark06 against the 1950). Happy...- Safooma

9800se to x1950gt
Night and day. You will see nearly a 10x increase in speed assuming the rest of your system can handle it(and it looks like it should). I use to have a 9800se and it scored about 1350 in 3dmark05. My next card was a 6800oc that scored about 4500. I just upgraded again to a x1950gt(same...- Safooma

x1950 gt - memory overclocking .. is it fixed yet?
I tried driver level overclocking and was fairly please with the results. At stock speeds(500/600) I scored a 8649 in 3dmark 05. At 641/708 I scored a 9914. I tried like crazy to crack 10k but couldn't. Although I did not see any visual artifacts, higher memory speeds would cause a lockup...- Safooma

x1950 gt - memory overclocking .. is it fixed yet?
I did not try driver level overclocking. I had read somewhere that driver level overclocking didn't actually affect the memory frequency of the hardware, so I didn't try it. Perhaps I will give it a whirl tonight.- Safooma

x1950xt 256mg Blue Screen of death!!! PCI-E
IRQL_Not_less_or_equal My laptop kept giving me that blue screen all the time. Come to figure out that the fan on the vid card died and was causing the card to overheat. I changed out the fan on the card and that error went away. No idea if that is what your problem is, just...- Safooma

how to connect a laptop with a desktop via crossover cable(cat 5)?
can you connect via ip address, not netbios name? Do this: From the .1 machine, in the run line: \\192.168.1.2 Does that connect? Try restricting the network to a class c via the subnet mask(255.255.255.0 instead of 255.255.0.0) What is the default gateway for each machine?- Safooma

Internet not working
At a command prompt, type ipconfig /all What does it say? Can you see your nic? Can you ping your default gateway?- Safooma
