Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
A question to those who own this heatsink and used AS. Simply, how did you apply it. Since the unit clips in on one side and swings to the other, it doesn't seem like it would lend itself well to the grain of rice technique where the heatsink plops down squarely from above. Thanks
I'm getting conflicting information, so I'm here to ask the resident experts. If a CPU fan dies on an A64, does it throttle down, turn itself off, or what?
A related question is: Let's say I don't use the stock CPU fan in favor of an XP-120 with a Panaflo that does not support RPM...
The 12v line was 12.33
The 5v line was 5.23
The OCZ was comparable but I don't remember off the top of my head.
I pulled this from the PCP&C site:
+5V @ 40A
+12V @ 34A, 38A pk
-5V @ 0.3A
-12V @ 2A
+3.3V @ 30A
+5VSB @ 3A
I don't think either PSU is at fault.
I had ordered a...
This is a last ditch effort before I RMA. I recently installed an EVGA 6800 Ultra, and get the message:
The Nvidia System Sentinel is reporting that the Nvidia-powered graphics card is not receiving sufficient power.
It goes on to say it's lowered the performance to keep damage and/or...
I just came to check the forums before work to see if I could find out the very same thing. Last night, I assembled my new computer - A64 3500, A8V Asus. Went into BIOS first thing to check temps.
MB temp: 32c
CPU temp: 50c
I'm confident the heatsink went down squarely and firmly on...
You been waiting on EQ2 as well? I don't know if this would be the right answer for you, but with the due date of Nov 8, I'd make sure I was able to play. But these are the words of an MMORPG addict, so take them with a grain of salt.
I upgraded to play EQ2 (or WoW if it's a flop) as well...
To clarify some, why do they recommend you connect seperate "strands" of molexes. Each "strand" isn't a seperate rail, correct?
I'm in sort of a quandary concerning how I should connect this up. I only have:
CDRW/DVD combo drive
Sata HD
Floppy drive
4 80mm fans
EVGA's website has a picture demonstrating how they want you to connect their ultras. They show one strand of molexes connected to the card's primary molex with the extra molexes of that strand unused.
They show a second strand of molexes going to the card's secondary molex and since the...
I had a couple of questions for those lucky enough to own two 20" LCDs. I read a review of someone who had dual 17" and was running a resolution of 2560x1024. What would the resolution be for dual 20s?
How does this work playing games? Does the game utilized one monitor and you still...
I found a post about this somewhere a week back, but can't find it anymore. After installing Windows XP, which driver should you load first? And is that dependant on the motherboard? Thanks
I'll know first hand soon - I ordered a BFG 6800GT yesterday. I know of the apparent heat issues with the card, but I think CastleBravo is probably right.
I waited to build for the longest time, and when I heard of pci-e being released, I waited a little more. However, with it just around the corner, I decided to go with AGP. That pci-e will take over, I have no doubt. I just don't want to jump on a potentially buggy bandwagon. And just as...
Well, for better or worse, I've made my decision - I went with the VP201B. I'm at the nervous "it hasn't arrived and I'm worried about my decision and dead pixels" stage.
Please do. I'm considering this monitor and am looking for all the little bits of info I can find. What made you pick it over the 2001fp, if I may ask?
