    I've read that Microsoft offered a cheaper version of XP pro license on machines that failed WGA authentication for $150. My question is, what type of license being offered? OEM license can be had for cheaper, but if it's a full retail license, than IMO it's a good deal. Anybody knows?

    There are manufactures that are only offering either Vista Basic or Vista Business/Ultimate for more money, skipping Vista home premium altogether. I don't see why I should pay more money for things I don't care, as long as the underlying OS is the same.
