    Use the PS/2 adapter and run the mouse through that port. It seems to be a problem with the Logitech driver and some USB controllers.

    I would contact Logitech about getting the adapter. It is an AC adapter with an output of 5.8V at 1A.

    They come out with 1700, buit I think Logitech said you can use any in the range 1700-2500.

    The refresh as far as I recall is not about a speed increase but availability. They should be about the same performance but you can actually get them in stock.

    In your case I would say the biggest gain would come from a CPU upgrade. Go for a 939 3000+ Athlon64.

    System turns on for a few seconds, then shuts down

    Hmmmmmm. Sounds like the power switch is shorted (always on). Think about it, when you hold in the power button in for a few seconds the PC powers down. Make sure all the cables are correctly connected on the motherboard.

    Logitech MX700 Problems

    The power is not connected. Wiggle the plug until the mouse stops blinking (while in the cradle) Thus the mouse is not charging and is constantly flat, hence the red light.

    Hahahahahaha. Agreed. I also once pirated games, but I burned them all and started buying them all legit. I know it sounds strange but they are more enjoyable once you bought them.
