Hey man, I was following your 30" vs 27" thread pretty closely and saw that you went with the 27. I have a 3007wfp-hc that went out, and I need to replace it. I have a friend at Dell that can me the U3011 for 900, or the U2711 for 550.
I love high pixel density, but I am still leaning towards the 30" just because I am used to it, and it probably fits my setup better (30 in the middle, with two older 2405s turned vertical on the side), and I do tend to appreciate vertical resolution alot.
The real reason I am PMing you though is your comment about bumping the text up to 104%. I feel like if I ever feel the need to bump up the text resolution like that, then slightly lower pixel density of the 30 would be perfect and the extra size/resolution welcomed.
After using it for a bit, do you have any more feelings in terms of if you ever feel the need for extra vertical resolution, or anything like that?
