Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I have a t60 14.1" SXGA+ screen that is going crazy on me. I am not even certain how to describe it so that I can find the solution via google or forum searches.

The color seems to fade in and out. If I grab the screen by the top two corners and press away with my thumbs...
Yup, I tried alternate IDE cables and placing the drive back in. Ideally instead of throwing good money away I would figure out what is wrong and fix it. IDE drives may be inexpensive, but they certainly aren't free.
Here is a tricky one.
My father's computer started blue screening on boot and then resetting. I eventually made it up there and found that the primary IDE drive could no longer be detected by the system. It makes a little whirring sound as if spinning up, then clicks, and whirs up again...
Apparently the solution is to slip with your pair of pliers and sever all wires.
Although now that it is apart I see that there were two small holes in the connector. These needed to be simultaneously depressed while pulling up on the top. I'm not certain how this is possible by yourself...
I can't disconnect the fan on my new Sapphire Radeon x1950pro to attach my waterblock! It is a typical three pin header, but it "locks in" and I cannot get it out. Any ideas???
Well I figure I will write out my take on this whole debacle and hopefully somebody gleans some insight from it. From reading forty or fifty posts I have seen the following trends. I include my thoughts on each point.
1. Synthetic benchmarks let the user see how a processor compares to...
I don't even own a floppy drive anymore. This ancient device is on its way out the door. Why MS would choose to require having one mystifies me . Last time I loaded XP I borrowed my roommates floppy to get the sata drivers loaded. Please add usb/cd-rom support!
Custom Built Watercooling gear for sale. I would prefer to sell this as one unit to someone in the Boston area. It consists of the high powered Eheim 1250 waterpump, a large rearmounted 8" by 6" by 2" radiator, and a DangerDen Maze3 all copper waterblock. The system utilizes large 1/2" and...
I would bet that Carmack's machine is nowhere near as fast as his. For this simple reason: he is doing work and NOT playing games. I would bet that he has a Dell workstation with dual cpu's, a boatload of ram, and whatever the fastest production video card currently available is. He probably...
