If you can find hazy/white plastic paper just like the ones they use to diffuse the LEDs behind car speedometers, it could provide a non-permanent solution that would look smoother than frosting the acrylic.

Since the parallel would only be used for data transmission, you'd have to either use USB or a molex for power.
Holy smokes those fat 80mm and 120mm fans at the front and back of your case must push lotsa air...
What 80mms are those? or are you just using 'em as a fan shroud?
