Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Computers combined is too easy for a group like us. I wonder what the average number of computers per forum user is? I used to have about 30 till I threw out all the pentiums and 8088's I had been given.
Now I am down to 2 3.0ghz core 2 duo boxes and i7-860 an HP tablet and a few old laptops...
I went to edmunds.com the other day and realized my car is worth less than my computer so I started a facebook group by that name

I don't want to overclock, I just want a stable fast stock cpu. Right now the FX's are overpriced and a 3700+ at 2.4ghz is my only cheep upgrade option. However if I could get a 2.6ghz 4000+ I would effectively have a cheaper FX.
I like what I see out of 939 oc's and would consider upgrading but it would be easier to just get a 754 that is high speed and I don't believe that amd is done making 754's since they are the predominant mobile chip out their.
AMD's website lists a 4000+ mobile chip and I have seen it in several laptops. Does anyone know of a retailer that is actually selling these chips individually?

Does anybody know how this http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=19-103-484&depa=0 3400+ at 2.4ghz 512k cache and how compares to the 1meg cache 3400+ at 2.2ghz? I see that everyone is out of stock on the 1meg skt 754's right now. I know that the higher speed kills the...
I have removed several of the adhesive back plates. They come off simply by pushing with your finger tips on the round heads where the screws thread into the back plate. Hold the board on your lap and let the back plate have room to fall on the floor and apply pressure directly to the parts of...
I looked at the chart too but I remember several people with 6800's and large coolers on them having issues with the bigger heatsinks. Thanks for the Info I may just have to try it to see if it fits.
I have the K8N Neo FSR and a Ledtek 6800 GT and my Zalman 7000 comes with in a few cm of the backplate on the 6800, does anyone know if a XP120 will fit. I know I am at the end of air cooling but my CPU reaches 59C after a half hour at full load and I want to drop temps on air if I can instead...
Many backplates use a rubber pad with sticky top and bottom and you remove a plastic cover to allow the pad to adhere to the motherboard bottom for additional stability and to ensure that the pressure of mounting is applied to the whole backplate instead of the two mounting holes and the motherboard
