    Yeah cards get assigned to 1 reciever and 1 reciever only when they are first inserted into the box. DTV usually charges like $20 for a new card when you buy a new reciever but they usually end up waiving that fee if you ask. Miller

    No, access cards are not univeral. You will need to call your satellite provider and they will send you a fresh one for your new box. The box is probably fine since it is recognizing there is a card in it reading "Invalid Access card". Miller
