Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
That did it. Thanks.
I'm well aware of the "just try stuff until it works" part, but none of my trying had worked yet. Based on that error message I've been looking for missing stuff, using reserved words, etc. And since the error was often told to be BEFORE that line of the code, I hadn't...
Could someone just make the two files and run them on their machine to see if they will run (even without the database, I'll find out if you get the same parse error as me). I don't have access to any other machines with PHP to test them on.
It was copy/pasted, but I changed the user and password for obvious reasons and accidently deleted that tick mark then. It's there in my real code.
I've done other programming, so I've been looking for missing things (semicolons, parentheseis, etc) but I can't find any.
The odd thing is...
I need help. I've got a weird PHP error and it is driving me nuts. I can't figure out what's wrong. This is the first time I've used PHP (I'm just starting) but I can't figure it out. This is PHP 4.3.11, Apache 1.3.33, MySQL 4.1.15 (not involved yet). Here is the code for the two files...
I'm in the market for a new graphics card. I have basically decided on the nVidia 6600 series, and I'm looking to pay about $150. This is for an AGP system.
So the big question is, where can I find one? Are the AGP models out yet? I can't seem to find any. Could someone tell me the release...
I don't know what version of McAfee it was, but it was pre-installed on this computer that we bought for this last Christmas, so it must have been rather new. I used norton's on-line scan to find the viruses that McAfee missed, it's what clued me into the problem. Even with the "botched" install...
It was W32.Bagle.X@mm. I suppose it probably did disable McAfee, as it hosed the install of Norton that I tried to do. I had to uninstall Norton, download and run a removal tool for the virus, run it AGAIN just to make sure it was clean, then install Norton and do a scan. Either way, from poking...
What a piece of junk McAfee was. After installing Norton it took off all kinds of crud (and before I could even get that far alerted me to tons of stuff which McAfee had no problem with). Once it was clean, the SP installed. Thanks for your help guys.
I've never had a non-distructive virus...
I didn't turn it off, I just cut it down to 200 megs. So I ran McAfee and it found nothing. So on a hunch I installed and ran a copy of norton, which found 101 files infected with W32.Beagle.X. So much for McAfee. I'll clean it off and see if that fixes it. McAfee has caught things before, I'm...
System restore is on (and no longer allowed to use up to 3gigs of the drive, stupid MS), McAfee hasn't seen anything (it's up to date), and there are nothing more than "evil tracking cookies" caught by ad-aware. I'll run a McAfee scan anyways, but I don't expect it to find anything.
I'm almost positive about system restore, but I'll check. The PC is my mom's and all she knows how to do is run AOL and such. I'm the one who keeps it running. No weird tweeks or anything. Reformatting is starting to look like what this is going to require, and that's something I'm not happy...
I thought I mentioned that. I've downloaded both (the big install and the little over the network install) numerous times from microsoft. I have even taken the exact same file I used successfully on other computers and copied it over my home network and that didn't work. I also burned that file...
Didn't make a single difference. I'm starting to think that the installation of windows is somehow corrupt but it just doesn't effect 99% of the computer's use.
OK, updates!
Moto: As far as I know it's legit. It BETTER be legit, it was pre-installed by Dell, and we got the thing striaght from the factory.
Moto: Also, I checked event viewer. After double clicking the install and it extracts, nothing. Doesn't show up in event viewer (even after a...
