Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I was thinking of setting up 1/2 P2's, and probably my grandad's old P2 (He died of cancer) to fold 24/7, or near enough 24/7
Would these be a waste of bandwidth and electricity compared to one high spec machine?
It won't post at 265 or 270. Should I tweak my RAM timings to allow it to go further
My RAM is 3x 256Mb Corsair 3700,
232Mhz,
The CAS Latency is 3,
RAS# to CAS# is 4,
RAS# Precharge is 4,
TRAS# is 8
Any ideas?
DAMMIT
If that voltage reading is fine, then the PSU is fine. I was installing a new one and I noticed the 120MM fan, think it was the - wire had burnt. Almost every single inch of the wire insulation (On the fan itself) had melted. So it could have been just the fan
Oh well. The new PSU...
Okay now everyone has had there laughs. The PC runs fine on another PSU, and my multimeter tells me that all voltages are within 5% apart from -12V....Which is -1.5V!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway does this mean I have been one very lucky but equally stupid person  lol
Ok, installed new SATA harddrive last night. Left it defragging this afternoon. Came back, CPU @ 48C and the heatsink fan was going nuts.
Thought, oh crap, better plug in case fans. Now i've got 1 80mm and 1 120mm rigged up to do 7V. I try to connect while its on spark pop no smoke. Plug it...
