Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
If it helps anybody, i'll post an intermediate solution:
After fiddling a lot in forums, i found a "solution":
Install little older drivers, 196.21.
Some people have problem with the levels of the hdmi output of this driver (wrong levels, 0-255 instead of 16-235, so they get crushed blacks)...
after reading in another forum, i got this:

"The new drivers are bad and for some reason on some people's setup knocks the color depth away from 32-bit at 60 Hz. they essentially told me to stick with working drivers (196.21...
Thanks for the answers.
I swapped hdd's and reinstalled.... the option reappeared.
I went back to my original instalation, i did not want to reinstall all again... after breaking my head for a few hours i was able to get back that option:

Hi!
I have a problem with my Geforce 9500GT card, specially with the tv output.
I have a LG 42LH30 tv set.
I was toying with the video output to test different videos, etc.
Automatically detected in the nvidia output panel for the hdmi connection were:
1080i NATIVE
1080p Recommended...
All right then.
I will keep my 17" a little longer.
And gotta start saving for a 20.1" WS. I saw some of them yesterday, across some 19"WS, and definitively they are the size with the resolution i want.
Thanks for the answers :)
What would you prefer?
a 1440x900 widescreen lcd or a 1280x1024 4:3 lcd?
I currently have a 4:3 aspect lcd, but i like to see movies a lot, and i think that the extra horizontal workspace will come in handy.
check with cpu-z if it is really downgrading the speed and voltage.
Also, in XP, go to Power Options icon on Control Panel and configure, on "Power schemes" field the "Minimal Power Energy" option to enable Cool'n'Quiet.

what do you say?
hope it is still a S-IPS panel with 8bit color. I cannot stand 6-bit and overdrive panels.
Hi,
I am one of the poor fools trying to get decent TV output via an GF4
MX440. I have one in my media center pc that I've had for a while
now... I've decided again to try getting rid of the annoying black
surround to anything displayed on my tv... and have the absolute
latest drivers for...
Hi.. I'm an old timer mozilla suite user.
I have in my machine installed, both, the latest firefox (1.5) and mozilla (1.7.12) installed.
Suddenly, 2 days ago, flash stoped working in both browsers, but is ok on internet explorer.
The behavior is strange, if i open, for example...
ok. Now with ambient temp of 25ºC, and cool & quiet on, i get 32ºC at idle, 45ºC under full load (prime95).
And with 31ºC ambient, i get 35-36ºC idle, and 47-50ºC full load.
That temps seems more correct.
Thank you all for your help :)
suddenly (i have not changed anything), i turned on the pc today.
Idle temp: 35°C (30°C ambient temp).
Heavy load temp: 45°C-49°C.
That looks much better, isn't it?
The heatsink, during heavy number crunching gets warm, but nothing more. It is not "hot" in any way. It seems like its working ok. My machine, an xp2000, idles at 36°C, and both heatsinks are similar to the touch, as a reference point, so it seems that the contact is good.
Maybe is the...
