    Dell 32' 1440P Monitor : 144Hz vs 165Hz (HDMI vs. DisplayPort)

I got my first gaming monitor the other day, a Dell 32' 1440P that runs at 165Hz with HDMi and 165Hz with DisplayPort. I am using HDMI right now, but I can run USB-C to DisplayPort on my laptop. Is it really worth it to get a USB-C to DisplayPort cable to get that extra 21Hz when playing games?

    Media Players

No, I have a Chromecast and Fire TV for streaming. What I need is something to play files like MP4, AVI, etc. that I have saved on an external hard drive right now.

    Media Players

Wow, I haven't been here in years now, so I'm not even sure which forum to put this. Anyway, I am looking to buy a media player that allows me to watch video files on the TV via HDMI. Everything I see listed at places like Amazon has pretty bad reviews, so I'm hesitant to buy any of those...

    SSD Cloning and Disk Space

I just got my first SSD (SanDisk 256GB). I used EaseUS Partiton Master to clone my old HDD to the SSD. It now shows I have a 155GB C: partition on the SSD. Can anyone tell me how to recover the rest of the disk space and either add it to my C drive or create a new partition? Thank you

    Acer Aspire 5516 eRecovery

I didn't make a backup disk when I first got the laptop. Is there already a backup on a hidden partition or do do I have to do the recovery from a disk I make? Thanks

    Dual Monitors In XP

I used to have things set up where the monitor was hooked in to my laptop and I could see the desktop on both the monitor and the laptop screen. Somehow I managed to extend the desktop on to the monitor and I can't get it back to where the desktop is on both. I tried deselecting the "extend my...

    Fiber Optic Internet Problems

Nope, no modem with the fiber optic I have. The cable goes from an outlet in the wall straight to the network card. I called customer service and after being put on hold for 45 minutes they told me that the "lease" was for the desktop they installed fiber optic on and if I wanted to change it...

    Fiber Optic Internet Problems

Thansk for the help with fixing this. I was able to get into the router setup but I don't have a PPoE to input. Also, I actually don't have a modem at all. The cable runs from an outlet they installed in the wall directly to the network card. I never realized fiber optic would be so complicated...
