Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
So I am starting graduate school in July (electrical engineering PhD) and I need a new laptop. I don't need a gaming laptop or anything. I don't think I will be doing anything too graphically intensive on it. I am only looking to spend around $500-$700. I'd like something with a fairly small...
there's an application called vibraswitch that allows you to map a button that allows you to switch between vibrate and ringer. I mapped it to the PTT button using a registry hack I found.
You think the D/A and pre-amp in the sound card is better than the pre-amp in my Denon AVR1507 receiver? If they are about the same sound quality then it would be nice to just get rid of all of the analog wires. Then I will only have to deal with a single optical cable. Plus I don't think I'll...
So I can pass 5 channel surround from games w/ EAX5.0 over optical using DDL? That's great...then I won't have to deal with the damn analog cables for games anymore.
Does anyone know if the prelude will pass 5.1 channel surround EAX5.0 over optical through DTS connect or DDLive? If the prelude is capable of this then I will buy it. I have the mystique right now and it lacks EAX5.0 support.
I could get EAX surround and optical output by using an x-fi...
So this card seems to be the perfect sound card. IT has the best of both the x-fi and the xplosion. However, I was curious whether or not you could send a 5.1 channel EAX 5.1 signal over optical as a dolby digital or DTS signal. Is this possible? I know the 5 channels will be compressed into...
Well, what do you think will have a better D/A converter: the sound blaster or the receiver? In most cases, I would think the receiver would be better, and you will benefit by using digital.
hmm...I looked at this monitor at BB and compared it to other similarly sized lcdTVs from sharp, toshiba, etc. The contrast of the westinghouse was certainly inferior, and seemed a little more washed out, but it could have just been the way they had it set up.
