Is there any way to program a game controller (i.e. my logitech wingman rumblepad) with keystrokes? Like program the d-pad with the left, right, up, down arrows?

is there anyway to have a separate partition that both OS's can read? this way i can have all my mp3's and movies and such there so I can get to them from either OS
