    Question about mixing ram

How important is using the exact same type of RAM when adding more RAM in regards to stability? I've seen some recommendations to match exactly, just to be safe, and others to just make sure both sets of RAM can run stably at the same voltage, frequency and timings. I currently have this...

    WTB: 2x2GB G.Skill DDR2 800

I'm upgrading from 4 gigs to 8 gigs of RAM and I've decide to go with the same type of RAM to avoid any potential compatibility problems. I'm looking for the popular 2x2GB G.Skill DDR2 800 SDRAM with the blue heat spreaders. Model #: F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ This stuff...

    E2200HD Review, Part I

That's not the problem. it scales lower resolutions up to full screen fine. When the 720p games run centered its because I had selected a refresh rate that the monitor didn't support going into full screen mode for that resolution. What it does in this case is keeps the desktop resolution and...

    E2200HD Review, Part I

I'm having problems running games full screen at 720p resolution using the DVI connection. When I try to go full screen with a game running at 1200x720 (my graphics card can't handle 1920x1080 for some games) the monitor goes blank and displays an "out of range" message. I've tried various...

Laptop recommendations needed: Photo Editing & Recording/Sequencing

I'm looking for a laptop to replace my desktop computer. The only hardware intensive computer uses I have now are photo editing of pictures taken with my Nikon D70, recording guitar and vocals, and creating sequenced songs. For photo editing I primarily work with Nikon camera RAW files (~5MB...

FS: TVcard, CDRWs, SBLive, Fans/Cooling gear

I'm clearing out a bunch of stuff I don't use anymore. No reasonable offers refused. I'd prefer to sell the cheaper cooling gear packaged with other stuff, as it won't really be worth shipping some of those individually. Prices negotiable. All prices include shipping (if you are outside the...

Disabling or Removing LEDs from a LED Fan

Can this be done without too much trouble? I'm not a LED fan person, but the fans I like from a noise perspective have LEDs. I like it dark :D !

Crazy artifacting on a new nForce2 IGP

Apparently on some of the BIOS' (the one the board I got had), Auto Precharge Write defaults to enable, when it should default to disable. I changed it to disable, and now the problems with the 3D screen savers are fixed. So far, so good. I'll test a game later tonight.
