Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
So many bad games out there. Where to begin.
Hardest to play due to design flaws: Necropolis
Just bad. Took for ever and relied on pixel hunts to even find whatever ridiculous items were vaguely hinted at in the pages of boring conversation.
Most Disappointing: Age of Empires
Can you say...
Cool.
Thanks, Ice.
And yeh, I think the IT guy is outty. Not just for that but a couple of other BS things.
I took apart our main PC for the Rooms System here at my hotel, and the PC he built for us was craaaa-aaaaaap. Different speeds memory, generic POS power supply, 64MB geForce2 card...
Found the probable problem.
Our IT guy went in and limited access to the main drive without any heads-up. So... I been trying to mess with that shit for a couple of days, now completely unawares. Finally, last night I happened to need to reboot the PC and saw that it only lets you log in as a...
Ok, I consider myself a pretty intelligent guy, but I'm stumped here.
At work I've been saving an Excel document to a floppy and to my own Flash drive. And a few days ago I've began to save them to the Hard drive on another work computer for backup. the problem is, the files I've saved to the...
Well, if you got the machine to run it, I heartily recommend Battelfield: Vietnam.
If your machine isn't up to specs for that, go with Battlefield 1942.
If your machine isn't up to specs for that, go with Ghost Recon.
Of course, all of this is predicated on your desire to shoot at people...
My screen just freezes and nothing responds about a minute or so after Battlefield: Vietnam or Far Cry loads. It only frezzes for 5-10 seconds and doesn't do it any more, but it ALWAYS does it after loading a level (not after loading a saved game). Any ideas? I'm gonna check and see if I've...
If it's anything like the first one (which I played pretty consistently for about a year), it takes a little time invested to really get into it.
I look forward to reading some good stuff on it from you guys.
Personally, I think it's doomed, due to games like Doom3 and HL2. Today's gamers have...
Ok, this game rocks (just started playing it on my new rig), but at the end of the Kalinatek level the game crashes to the desktop.
It happens right after Fisher talks to Ivan in the bathroom and is told to go 'thin out' the oppostition so that he can be extracted. I go out of the bathroom and...
Get rid of NVIDIA's Network Manager. I've been pulling my hair out for over two weeks trying to get my new PC connected to the internet via router, and I tried everything. I flashed a new BIOS, disabled the NVIDIA and Windows firewalls, fiddled with every setting I could find dealing with...
I have a PNY 6800GT and it runs like a champ. 401/1100 and I can only tell a one degree temp difference from its stock settings. It only takes up one slot, so that's good. It IS a little loud. At least mine is, but I haven't heard any of the other brands, so me saying that means little without a...
Hmm, well, I'm actually getting the card to be stable at 400/1000 right now. I thought it was the card, but I think it was my memory. Changed the memory form 1:1 to 10:9 and it seems to work like a charm, now.
3DMarks are working, now, at least.
I'm going to try 95 Prime, next. :)
Can anyone tell me what chip this memory uses? It's just the regular old OCZ Performance Series PC3200 3-3-3-8 Memory, NOT the rev.2 or 3, or whatever.
I've looked at their home page and can't seem to find out what chip they are using. Samsung? Hyrinx? Anyoen have any idea? Or even where to go...
Ok, maybe I'm confused, but it seems that I've read people saying that to really get a good OC on your 6800GT, you need to up the voltage to it.But, now I can't find anything saying that. Am I confused, here?
And if you CAN and should up the voltage to the video card, then how in blazes do you...
