    Operating System that loads from CD.

    My friend's laptop hard drive broke. Until his replacement comes, is there a Bootable CD that will load an operating system directly into the RAM without installing?. He basically needs internet, and word processing. Preferably Windows but linux will do too.

    After leaving my computer running for several hours, I find that the clock sometimes skips ahead from anywhere to ten minutes to an hour. It is overclocked from a 2500+ (barton) to a 3200+. The cmos battery is fine, and it does this while running. Does anyone know who to fix this?
