I have 2 computers networked together with a wired router but my wife wants me to get a wireless network for a laptop. Is there a way to hook a wireless router into the wired router?
I just bought my wife and Kindle with the wifi. The problem is that we don't have wifi in our home. Right now I have 2 computers linked together with a regular router. I really don't want to buy a wireless router just for the Kindle. Is there anything I can get that is reasonably cheap just...
I just got a new mobo and processor for my comp and I'm installing windows 7. I want to format my HD and start over but when I go to format the HD I get the error that windows cannon format the drive. It says I need to quit any programs I'm running. How do I quit all programs and still have...
I guess I'm not really setting a budget. I'd like to buy something decent but it doesn't have to be a top of the line thing. Like I said, all she cares about is playing her Sims game.
I need to replace my wifes computer and I've decided to use an Intel processor. The only game she plays is Sims, like every other chick in the world, so I don't think I need anything super powered. But I also don't want the cheapest thing I can find. I've only built 2 computers and the last...
It could be the PSU. Also, when was the last time you cleaned it out? If it hasn't been cleaned since 2003 its going to be extremely dusty in there.
I cleaned it out. That was my first thought too. A little dust, but not too bad.
My parents have a Compaq computer they got in 2003. They only use it for some internet stuff and email. It just shut down one day and it normally won't start up at all. I looked at it for a while today and I got it going and was on the internet for about 5 minutes and it just shut down. The...
I tried the PSU in another computer and it works just fine. Both of the computers have the same kind of processor, AMD Athlon 64. Is is possible there could be something different with the mobo? I ain't no computer expert so I'm just throwing guesses out there?
The computer is about 4 years old. About half the time that I have the CDRom drive unhooked the system runs fine. The next time when I try and hook up the CDRom drive it shuts down right away again.
I wrote down everything I unplugged on the old PSU and plugged it all back in with the new one.
I will try that paper clip trick right now, but the PSU does fire up, it just shuts down right away.
No, I haven't tried the PSU in another system yet.
