Socket A suggestions
all except for bios issues that plauged them.. had 2 of them with dead bios chips. Asus was very hard to deal with as far as a warranty for them.- ftbusdatia

Need Asus Support Phone Number for OEM's
I work at a computer shop. We bought an K8V-X and it arrived DOA to us. Since we have to deal with asus directly, we have to register the board online so we can get an RMA. i have not ordered the parts yet, but i can tell you the slot is fully functional. I have taken Wifi cards out of other notebooks, they all install and work properly. this is a next year project at the moment.- ftbusdatia

To the guy who cant fit his HS/F on his naked Chip: Have you thought of removing the bracket that your HS/F clips on and shaving a little off it (say, 2mm or less) and retrying your contact (given it still clips in) Ive seen some plastic HS/F clips that have a little notch or so on them...- ftbusdatia

Dell laptops...
the 120 would be fine, however be VERY careful with the power jack. I have heard of (and personaly seen) dozens of cases where the power connector in the back goes bad requiring a new motherboard to fix. This will cost $179 in parts plus labor (or your own skill/time) to install. Not cool...- ftbusdatia

I got a Toshiba laptop from CompUSSR for about $400 AR's. Unfortunatly, i was lied too. It doesnt have wireless.. anybody know where i can get the antenna kit and wireless card for the beast? i need the pc-card slot for my audio solution for live performances.- ftbusdatia
