Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I thought i remember hearing that the 8800 series cards performed better in 16x slots. I can't remember where i heard that and whether or not it was only the gtx and ultra.
I'm buying a board with that only supports x8 is SLI mode. I have a 7800gtx now but i'll likely buy an 8800gt within a couple months. Does PCI-e x8 supply enough bandwidth for an 8800gt? Thanks.

I'm not going that far, i just didn't want to rip up my walls because there is a perfectly good Ethernet port right there. But for 500 bucks i guess i'll just have to learn to dry wall.
So, I'm building a HTPC that i'd like to hide away in the closet. I can connect all my periperals with belkins' wireless usb hub, but does there exist a device that would let me send a dvi/hdmi signal over the network? The device Does not need to be wireless.
