Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'm looking for suggestions for an external harddrive. I want it to be USB 2.0 and at least 250 GB. Not sure if I should go with one of the prepackaged deals or buy a hard drive and an enclosure.
Thanks.
Will BF2 run at a default in-game resolution? I've had similar problems when trying to run BF2 at different resolutions on my non-WXUGA 9300. My native resolution is 1440x900, but I have to run the game at 1280x800.
What video drivers are you using? You may want to look at the ones...
1. Have you ever had a hard drive fail on you?
Yes - 3 over the past 7 years.
2. Have you ever had a USB Pen fail on you? (if you've used these)
No - I've had the same one for 2 years. (I don't use it that much though.)
3. Have you ever had an external Hard Drive Fail on you? (if you've...
I have a 9300 and use Monster's LCD cleaning kit. For $20, it comes with a bottle of solution and a large cleaning cloth.
If you go to http://www.notebookforums.com (I think the site's down right now) and search in the Dell / 9300 forums you will find several posts containing step-by-step...
I'm looking to upgrade the memory in my 9300 from 512MB (2 x 256) to at least a gig. I was thinking of buying a 1GB stick and replacing one of the 256s with it.
Two questions:
1 - Is there that much of a performance difference betwen 1.2GB RAM and 2GB RAM?
2 - By mixing the sticks with two...
Yes, they are overpriced. You can get the same system (a rebranded Sager 9860) for less from http://www.pctorque.com/ or http://www.powernotebooks.com. After a lot of research, I bought a Dell Inspiron 9300 for a lot less, but with comparable performance. The Dell XPS Gen2 is is more...
NewEgg has Transcend 1GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 533 (PC2 4200) Notebook Memory - Retail for $119.99 each (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...N82E16820208024). Does anyone know if it's any good?
If I add 1GB and take out one of the two 256 sticks (I have 512 - 2 x 256), will it still...
I just got a Dell Inspiron 9300 with 512 MB RAM. I want to upgrade to 2 GB. NewEgg has Transcend 1GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 533 (PC2 4200) Notebook Memory - Retail for $119.99 each (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820208024).

I'm considering an Inspiron 9300. Is the upgrade from a 1.86 GHz processor to a 2.0 GHz worth the $200 extra? Is there that much of a performance difference say when running HL2 or D3? Has anyone seen a good comparison between the 2 and 1.86 GHz processors?
Thanks!
Very cool. /me jealous
I'd like to hear how gaming is on it. BTW - did you go with the optional TV tuner?
Hey MYPEARL: PCTorque announced yesterday in their forums that the Sager 7620 with ATi MOBILITY RADEON® X800 256MB PCI-C card will be available "soon". There are some nice pics of...
Right, it will be obvious that a drink was spilled on it. I said he doesn't have to tell them "how" it got there. It was an accident. He doesn't have to elaborate about the "...incedent involving a flying swiss cake roll and a cup of mountain dew..."
You have to shop around, the Sager 9860s and their variants (Alienware 51-m, Hypersonic GX7, Falcon NW Fragbook, etc.) are all pretty expensive, especially since they are one of the only pci-e notebooks on the market right now.
Here's a partial list of vendors that carry them...
