Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Great card! Handles everything I play beautifully. FM/TV tuner + Remote Wonder are just icing on the cake.
Fk Vista. My rig will be plenty for me for a while. Especially since I can still double the ram and throw in an X2 if I want.
As long as he's upgrading to M2 in a year anyway, he doesn't need a videocard with that 6800 he has now. Doesn't need a mobo either, as long as he flashes the bios. Seems like a clear choice to me.
Thanks for the replies, looks like I'll have to go over to his place and see the board. IIRC, some older socket A boards needed a bios flash for the bartons which got me thinking there might be some that wouldn't support it. Wouldn't want to pop it in and be stuck at 600 Mhz or something.
Will all socket A boards support the Barton? I'm gonna sell my boss my old Barton to replace his current Duron. His board is maybe 2-3 years old (I think it's some crappy ECS or MSI).
Thanks
